Long ago, I created a livejournal in my own image. It turns out that was a mistake. I s'pose I just felt uneasy posting openly in a journal that was so obviously mine. Friends and strangers posed no problem. I guess it was just a little scary to take a look at my journal and realize even my professors could guess its location. People I haven't seen since high school? They might be able to figure it out too. My mom? Definitely! ...but more pressing was the matter of the people who actually had found me. No problems had occurred, but there were things I just didn't want to share with anyone who wasn't a friend or stranger. How can I be open and honest in such a setting? Friends only isn't generally for me, so I gave up thoughtful entries in favor of cryptic whining. Then I, more or less, gave up livejournal.

Now I've started anew... this time without using my real name. :) I'm still apparently me, but a little tougher to find. :) Pleased to meet you!
